October 12-16th, Perdana University, Serdang
This workshop is mainly designed for students and researchers who need to perform biostatistical analyses. There are many software that one can use to analyse data and we choose to focus on R because it is a free software that comes with a great environment for statistical computing and graphics. In fact, it is a popular software used by many bioinformaticians. Many features of R such as its data types, data manipulation tools, graphics, programming and useful packages such as Bioconductor will be covered as a part of this workshop. In addition, prior to teaching participants how to use R for statistical analyses, concepts of biostatistics such as hypothesis testing will be explained to them. Following this, participants will work through case studies and solve problems using R.
